Building Your Shakrim and Kandoran Freebands

The Shakrim Starter set is the base project.  The Kandoran Starter set comprises the first six stretch goals.  But what about freebands bigger than 150 gold?

You can add additional Shakrim and Kandoran models just like any other add-on.  They are all $7 add-ons, except the following:

Shakrim Steel Fang and Nerodix: $9

Shakrim Viperon: $16

Also, these freebands have access to many Allied models.    

The following models are allies that can be taken with either the Shakrim or Kandoran freebands:  Mizrakai, Takar Hunter, Truthseeker, Wandering Bard, Wandering Wizard, Zetakor.

Additionally, the Snake Mystic and Nightwhisper will be permitted to serve as Allies with the Shakrim.

Now's a great time to build that freeband!

We have had many questions about pledge combinations and modifications. The simple answer is, whatever your particular preference is, we are going to work with you to make it happen to the best of our ability. The rest of this update is some information on how that will work. But for those who just want a summary, all you need to do is:

Pick one basic pledge level that works for you, then:

Look over the add-ons and other reward levels and have the total amount pledged include the other things you want. If that amount is $120 or more, regardless of which base reward level you selected, then you also get one of every stretch goal model for free.

It’s really that simple. Ok, now some details.

First, when the campaign ends you will be sent a survey from Backerkit, the crowdfunding pledge manager we have chosen to assist us. Although still under final construction at the moment, your survey will look something like:

Basically, the money you pledged is like a shopping account and you will go through the backerkit interface like a store and make all the choices you want until your ‘credit’ is all accounted for.

One note…if you are looking to get a reward that is not product, namely the design a character or painted rewards, use those as your base level and add in pledged money for the other things you want. Say you want to design a character but also want a Shakrim starter and a set of War Spiders. Select the Design a Faelon Character reward level ($150) and pledge a total of $250 ($150 for the character, $40 for the starter and $60 for the Spider Nest, a four War Spider add-on. Note that this also gets you all of the stretch goals because the total is $120 or more.

That should take care of most folks very easily. However, we will work with you directly for any particular combo, especially if that combo isn’t covered easily by the pledge manager. Let’s say you want a split shipment, meaning you’d like to get your non-project rewards early and then get your Shakrim and Kandor when they are finished. You can work that with us by email or by the kickstarter message service. 

Or another example. Say you want a painted starter set AND to design a character AND some extra Shakrim models to build out your freeband. First, we love you! J You’d select the I’ll Take My Shakrim Painted reward (especially because they are limited) and then add $150 for the character and whatever $ for the other models you want. 

Bottom line, just pick the reward level that suits you best and add in money to get you close to whatever else you want from the add-ons or other rewards. Your backerkit survey will take care of most or all of that and we will work with you individually for the specialized requests.

Reaper Unlocked! Remember, if your total pledge, of whatever type and combo, comes to $120 or more, you get all stretches for free. If you recruit a new backer to $40+, both you and they get a free standard model. Let's go get the Oppressor! 

Stretch Goals Five and Six!

Getting down to the one week mark and we want to be ready.  Here are the next two stretch goals, which complete the Kandoran starter set.

Stretch Goal 5: Levy Spearman

The ranks of the Kandoran Army are steadied by the Levy Spearman.  These are citizen soldiers who drill regularly and are trained in the use of both spear and bow.  They also make good use of their pavise, a tall shield unusable in close action, but highly effective against arrows and other missiles. 

Stretch Goal 6: Wretch

Some people will do anything for money.  The Jackal-Priests of Kandor have no trouble finding those willing to help them search out and recover all manner of gruesome ingredients for their dark magics.  Wretches are shunned by decent society, but if you need a body or body part for something, they always seem to know where to dig one up.
