Latest Updates from Our Project:

Bring a Friend!
over 7 years ago – Thu, Jan 03, 2019 at 09:25:10 PM

If every current backer encouraged one friend to join us now at the $120 get every stretch level, we would fund and meet our first stretch goal.  We don't want to just fund, we want everyone who pledges at $120 to get as much additional stuff as possible, and the way that happens is more backers.  Have a friend on the fence?  Think about recommending these steps to your fellow miniatures gamers...

Choose the I Love These Models! $40 level but pledge $120 to the reward.

Say the campaign ends and we funded and stretched for at least the Kandoran starter.

You then choose the remaining $80 of your reward in additional shakrim models.  Get the heroes to 2 each and have multiples of the followers - a complete freeband at any point level.

But let's say your friend isn't excited about Kandorans (what?? lol) and so you put creatures or dice or extra models of their faction in your reward and trade for their Kandorans so you have a complete Kandoran freeband.

Another way to go?  Backer A gets Get into the Game! and pledges $120 for two starters, dice and tokens.  Backer B, friend of A, pledges $120 for the Bag of Beasts and Spider's Nest add-ons.  B trades A some creatures for the second faction in A's reward.  Boom, you are both in, and can play Beast Hunt, Into the Ruins and The Lair with pretty models.

But what about B+A both having a set of stretches, but only one wanting to play Kandor?  Well, if you asked we could turn the second starter in A's reward to more models of the first faction.  A plays that one and B gets all the Kandorans by trading creatures.

Head spinning?  That's the feeling of euphoria from all the possible ways to use the rewards and add-ons to get your whole group what they want!

Remember, everyone who pledges $40 or more is getting a living rulebook - not just one time, but in their account so they get all the updates for free.  Forever.

Bring all your friends on board!

Living Rulebook with a Pledge of $40 or more!
over 7 years ago – Wed, Jan 02, 2019 at 11:19:52 PM

We had a backer ask us if there was a way to get a Living Rulebook for a pledge of $75 or more, and we think that is such a good idea, we will do it for a pledge of $40 or more. What we will do is send every backer at $40 plus a coupon code for a free Living Rulebook purchase. That way you not only get an LRB when the campaign ends, your account on our website, www.dgsgames.com, will be set up to give you every update to the LRB for free. Tell all your friends!

Great First Day! Now the next step...
over 7 years ago – Wed, Jan 02, 2019 at 07:03:14 PM

You folks are awesome and we had a super first day.  Still plenty to do if we want to reach all those stretch goals and get you both factions full up.  You've backed us and we can't ask for more than that!  But what can you do to help that doesn't cost you any more money?

Number one is always get the word out.  The best way to get where we all want to go is with more backers.  :)  Tell all of your gamer, modeler and painter friends about us.   Share the link to the campaign.  Steal graphics from the Freeblades Players facebook group.  If there is some graphic that would help you best with your social media, tell Jon with a comment or message on the KS what you need, or email at [email protected].

A lot of potential backers follow a KS until the last couple of days and help us provide that surge for lots of stretches.  But early backing funds early and raises our visibility on various tracking sites.  If someone you know is watching, consider letting them know it really helps to back early.  The money does not come out unless we fund and not til the last day either way.

Look at creative backing options.  Have a group that needs a bunch of spiders or beasts?  One of you can back for freeblades and another can back for one creature pack and a third for a second creature pack and then you can all split the groups up among your group when they arrive.  Lots of options out there in the add on section!

Thanks for being part of this, and let's rock it!
